The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (Al and DS) is established in the year 2021. This is a 4-year degree course approved by AICTE, New Delhi under Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The Department is offering undergraduate program with intake of 120. The curriculum of Al and DS is includes Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Statistical Methods, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytic, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and more. Al and DS is helpful for students to draw meaningful insights from big data and acquire skill-sets to deal with numerous real time applications in this field. Since last decade, Al and DS witnessed enormous growth and dramatic breakthrough innovations applied in almost every sector. Research within department often explores cutting-edge Al techniques, develops new algorithms, and applies them to various domains. Department Facilitate and encourage students internship and online certified courses like Swayam, NPTEL, IIT offered, Coursera, IBM professional development courses to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. Department maintain strong ties with industry partners, start-ups, and technology companies to foster collaboration, technology transfer, and talent development. Department facilitate internships, co-op programs, industry-sponsored projects for Final Year students, and Placement Drives-Activities to bridge the gap between academia and industry. This specialized course opens many career avenues for aspirants in healthcare, finance, astronomy, agriculture, data security, entertainment, E-commerce, social networking, climatology, biotechnology, genetics, and many more.
The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is driving to transform its educational in order to develop rural youth with the strong academic and technical backgrounds.

The Data Science Laboratory is equipped with modern computing systems and tools like Python, R, and Jupyter Notebook to support practical learning in data analysis, machine learning, and AI. It enables students to work on real-world datasets, develop predictive models, and enhance analytical and problem-solving skills for industry readiness.
The Software Laboratory is designed to provide practical exposure to programming, software development, and system design concepts. It is equipped with modern computing systems and essential development tools such as C, C++, Java, and Python.
The lab enables students to develop, test, and debug software applications while learning key concepts like data structures, algorithms, database management, and web development. Tools such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, and Git are used for coding, collaboration, and version control.
Through hands-on sessions, mini-projects, and real-world problem solving, the lab enhances students’ programming skills, logical thinking, and software engineering practices, preparing them for industry requirements.
The AI & ML Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide hands-on learning in artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts. It is equipped with modern computing systems and advanced tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
The lab enables students to design, develop, and implement intelligent systems through activities like data modeling, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. It provides exposure to real-world applications, helping students build innovative solutions and strengthen analytical, programming, and research skills.
Overall, the AI & ML Lab bridges theory with practical implementation, preparing students for careers in emerging AI-driven industries.
The DBMS Laboratory provides hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing databases using SQL and modern database systems. It helps students understand core concepts like data modeling, normalization, and query processing. The lab enhances practical skills required for real-world database application development and management.
The Data Structures Laboratory provides hands-on experience in implementing and analyzing fundamental data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, and graphs. Students develop problem-solving skills by applying algorithms for searching, sorting, and data manipulation using programming languages like C, C++, and Python. The lab strengthens logical thinking and prepares students for real-world software development challenges.
The following points were discussed in online parents meet 1. The meeting covered various topics, including student progress, academic performance, and future opportunities provided by the college 2. Co-Curricular Activities: Guest lecture, Seminars and Internship and Industrial Visits are required for students’ academic progress. 3. Certification: Efforts taken by Institute for students skill development like NPTEL/SWAYAM/Coursera and departmental event etc. 4. Placement preparation for students coordinates with TPO. 5. Attendance: A significant number of parents attended the meeting, showcasing their interest in their ward's progress. 6. Students Achievements: Discussed students achievements in placement, Internship and Courses attended. 7. Interaction: Parents actively participated in the discussion, raising queries and concerns, which were addressed by the faculty members.
Expert Lecture on Azure Fundamentals & AI Engineering Using Azure The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), SRTTC Faculty of Engineering, Kamshet, organized an Expert Lecture on “Azure Fundamentals & AI Engineering Using Azure” on 10th April 2026 for department students. The session was conducted by Mr. Omkar Chitnis, Associate Consultant at ITC Infotech, who shared practical insights into cloud computing and the use of Microsoft Azure in AI engineering. He explained Azure services, architecture, and real-world AI applications through industry examples. Key topics included cloud computing fundamentals, Azure infrastructure and services, AI tools on Azure, and career opportunities in cloud and AI. The session was interactive and enriched students’ understanding of industry practices. Outcome: Students gained foundational knowledge of Azure and its role in AI, along with awareness of career opportunities and required industry skills. Conclusion: The session was informative and industry-oriented, successfully motivating students to explore cloud computing and AI using Microsoft Azure.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), SRTTC Faculty of Engineering, Kamshet, organized an Online Expert Session on “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning” on 6th April 2026 via Google Meet and YouTube Live. The session was conducted by Ms. Nidhi Dekate, MSAI student at the University of Texas, Austin (USA). She shared valuable insights on AI, Machine Learning, and their real-world applications, along with guidance on career opportunities in the field. Key topics included fundamentals of AI & ML, basics of Deep Learning, Linear Regression, weights and bias, and the importance of project-based learning. The session was interactive and saw active participation from students and faculty. Outcome: The session helped students build a strong foundation in AI & ML, understand practical applications, and motivated them to explore career opportunities in this rapidly growing field. Conclusion: The session was informative and engaging, successfully inspiring students to begin their learning journey in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS), Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Technical Campus – Faculty of Engineering, Kamshet, organized a Workshop on “Fundamentals of Java Programming” for department students. The session was conducted by Mr. Ganesh Linge, who provided practical insights into Java programming through interactive teaching and live coding demonstrations. The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ programming skills and build a solid foundation in Java. Key topics included Java basics, syntax, data types, control statements, methods, arrays, strings, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Students also engaged in hands-on coding and problem-solving activities. Outcome: Students developed a strong foundation in Java, improved logical thinking and coding skills, and gained confidence in writing and debugging programs. Conclusion: The workshop was interactive and beneficial, successfully enhancing students’ programming abilities and motivating them to explore advanced Java technologies.
